Natalie Katzourin-Buchsbaum

Natalie Katzourin-BuchsbaumNatalie Katzourin-Buchsbaum  holds both a bachelor's degree in health science and a master's in occupational therapy from Touro College of Health Sciences. Not only did she maintain a 4.0 cumulative GPA during her master's work, but she was awarded the Maimonides Award for the graduating student whose endeavors have demonstrated the highest of professional ideals!

After this impressive educational start, Natalie spent several years in the Baltimore/Washington area, working with preschoolers, early elementary age children, and children through 9th grade in both schools and private practice settings. She loves working with children with learning differences, developmental delays, dyslexia, ADD/ADHD, SPD, PDD and ASD. She has run many handwriting groups (her master's thesis was written on the Handwriting Without Tears Program and other methods for handwriting Intervention) as well as keyboarding classes. She is certified in Interactive Metronome and has completed Sonia Sumar's Basic Certification course for Yoga for the Special Child. Natalie is an Advanced Mentored Clinician in SPD Level 1, having completed the Level 1 Advanced Intensive Mentorship at the Sensory Processing Disorder Foundation. She is also experienced with Brain Gym, the Alert Program and Floortime Therapy. She was on the Clinical Faculty of Newark Therapy Services of UMDNJ, and has been a volunteer at Rocking Horse Rehab.

This is not Natalie's first time with our practice. We had the privilege of having her work with us in 2006, when she did an OT student training in our office. We are delighted that she has chosen to return to us now that she is living in this area. Natalie is thrilled to be a mother to adorable Avigail, born September, 2010.
